Dating is Hard, But Worth It

Hey everybody! I hope everybody attending the speed dating event today has a great time. I would be joining you myself, but I officially exited the "singles" category 2 weeks ago. I'm posting here because I wanted to give a shout out to everybody that's still trying to find their special someone. I know full well how hard dating is. I was telling people in my life that I wouldn't wish it on my enemy. That said, I believed that finding someone good was worth it, and right now I very much feel like it was.

Also, another encouragement, I know one of the main painful parts of dating is getting rejected by anyone that you are interested in. This happened so much for me. I think I went on about 15 first dates in the last 6 months, and of those, I would have given 12 of them a second date, but they didn't want a second date with me, and the one other that did dropped me after the third date, which was even more painful. It is not easy. That said, with the person I found now, I am all of a sudden glad that all the others rejected me.

I've found someone that is better than all the ones that came before, and at least a little of that is by not being exactly what I was looking for, at least in one respect. I think a lot of the people that rejected me could tell that they weren't quite right for me, and in the end I'm glad I didn't spend any more time with them.

Anyways, it's hard, but it's worth it, and if anyone wants any tips, feel free to ask. I am by no means an expert, but I did go all in on learning and doing everything I could to find someone good.

Oh, and Elizabeth Marshall is a great resource too. She doesn't just host the speed dating events, she also takes professional quality photos tailor-made for dating, and she offers profile advice, and even a bit of relationship advice if you ask her.
